THE EXTERNAL FEATURES OF ANIMALS

How are you childrens?. Do you know , there are different kinds of animals living on earth.Some of them look similar and some are not.To know the differences we can identify them by their external features.The external features of an animal are the details of the animal that you can see around you.

For the examples:

* A cat has four legs. Its body coverd with fur.Cat also has tail and whiskers.

* A cow has long tail with four legs.Its also has horn.

* An elephant has a trunk, four legs, and big ears.Other than that its has a pair of tusk ang long.Its body also coverd with hair.

* A fish has a tail, fins, two eyes and its body coverd with scales.

* Snake has less external features.Do you know childrens, its has no legs, body coverd with scales and its has long tail.Snake glides to move from one place to another place.

What's the difference between antlers and horns?
They are both extensions of the skull plate, but an antler is shed every year and grows back. A horn does not shed and will not grow back if broken.

What's the difference between tusks and horns?
A horn is an extension of the skull plate, but a tusk is actually a tooth extending  out of the animal's mouth.
